If you are already actively writing, interested in progressing to the next level and would like to attend workshops, reading meetings, and other events, why not join us? We look forward to hearing from any interested writers, poets, playwrights, whether you are published or unpublished. All are very much welcome.

In order to ensure applicants are currently writing and that HAC is able to meet your writing needs, we ask that you send two short pieces of recent work as part of your application.

Your first two meetings are free, so you can get a good understanding of the group format and compatibility with our members. After that, we would ask for a subscription pro-rata from the point at which you join to the end of the year. The subscription allows entry into the various competitions we run. The full yearly subscription is currently £25.00

Please Note: All members must be at least 18 years of age. We are currently meeting online via Zoom and in person in Huddersfield.
