Though I’ve always written, even before I knew how to form the letters properly, it was a love of crime (writing, not perpetrating) and history that brought me to my first serious writing, for Wharnecliffe Pen & Sword books – all available through their website:

Besides family history, to local and social history, my writing also includes poetry and short stories, having twice won short story competitions in Writers’ News magazine, as well as a number of our HAC competitions.

I’ve also turned my hand to novels and have the beginnings of a series of crime stories.

One day I will finish these, but at the moment I’m far too engrossed in a fantasy world which, one way or another, I have to save from complete destruction.
